NPCC BOD Approves Regional Standard PRC-006-NPCC-1 Automatic UFLS

In accordance with the NPCC Regional Standard Development Procedure (RSDP) a Regional Standard for Automatic Underfrequency Load Shedding PRC-006-NPCC-1 and its Implementation Plan were recently presented to the NPCC Board of Directors for the Board’s consideration.

On November 30th, 2011 the NPCC BOD voted unanimously to approve the Standard and its Implementation Plan.

Consistent with the RSDP the Standard will now be submitted to NERC for approval by the Board of Trustees with subsequent filings to FERC and the applicable provincial authorities thereafter.
