The Event Analysis Program brings clarity and certainty about what system events are relevant to analyze and to what level of detail, targeting potential risks to the reliability of the bulk power system for a more detailed and in-depth analysis.

NPCC’s infrastructure Security works closely with its ERO Enterprise partners and in collaboration and coordination with the Electricity Information Sharing and Analysis Center (E-ISAC), gathers and analyzes security data, shares appropriate data with stakeholders, assists with incident management/response, and communicates mitigation strategies with stakeholders.

NPCC’s security outreach program assists promotes and enhances reliability and resilience through training, education and with reviews of the Entity’s cyber and physical security posture.

NPCC Situation Awareness collects and analyzes information on system disturbances and other incidents that have an impact to the bulk power system and disseminates this information to internal departments, registered entities, ERO Enterprise partners, and governmental agencies, as necessary.
