Monitoring

NPCC monitors NERC and NPCC Regional Reliability Standards among all users, owners, and operators of the bulk power system (BPS) in the NPCC Region. In parallel, NPCC also assesses whether the entity has effective and sustainable processes and controls that support the continued reliability and security of the BPS. NPCC conducts these activities in accordance with Appendix 4C of the NERC Rules of Procedure and the ERO Enterprise Guide for Compliance Monitoring. In addition, NPCC participates in the development of the annual ERO CMEP Implementation Plan which provides suggestions for CMEP focus.
