2014 Announcement June 25 Webinar: Effect of Revised BES on Compliance Obligations Within NPCC

On June 25, 2014, NPCC will conduct a webinar for NPCC Members and NPCC Registered Entities to explain the determination of the current and future pool of assets associated with the compliance obligations of NERC Reliability Standards. This presentation will assist in answering questions as the July 1, 2014 effective date of the revised Bulk Electric System (BES) definition approaches.

NPCC will provide an overview of the following:

• The dates associated with implementation of the revised BES definition within the U.S.

• The current pool of assets that must meet NERC Reliability Standards for U.S. Registered Entities

• The effect of the revised BES definition on the pool of generation and transmission assets that must meet NERC Reliability Standards for U.S. Registered Entities

• The impact of BES changes on functional registration

• The continued use of A10 methodology by NPCC for the applicability of regional criteria
