NPCC 2013 General Meeting

Attached is the Agenda for the upcoming NPCC General Meeting to be held at the Seaport Boston Hotel, Boston MA. The meeting begins on Wednesday, December 4, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. Following the opening welcoming remarks, Mr. Harvey Reed, NPCC’s Chairman and Mr. Edward Schwerdt, President & CEO of NPCC, will highlight recent NPCC and NERC activities and accomplishments.

In the Keynote Session, “Reliability Defining the Bulk Electric System (BES)”, Mr. Peter Heidrich, Manager of Reliability Standards, Florida Reliability Coordinating Council and Chair of the BES Standard Drafting Team and will summarize recent developments in the Phase 2 revision of the BES Definition. The status of the BES Exception and Notification process will also be presented.

The meeting will conclude with an update on recent activities regarding the implementing the Cyber-Security Standard by Mr. Gregory Goodrich, Principal, Security and Compliance Coordination, New York ISO and Chair of NPCC’s Task Force on Infrastructure Security & Technology.

Mr. Richard K. Sullivan Jr., Secretary, MA Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs will speak at a reception and dinner the previous evening, following the meetings of the NPCC Reliability Coordinating Committee, and the Governmental/Regulatory Affairs Advisory Group (reception starts at 5:30 pm, with dinner at 6:30 pm).
