Directory #9 and Directory#10 posted to the Open Process for Phase 2 reformatting revisions through October 25

Please find attached draft revisions of NPCC Directory#9 -Verification of Generator Gross and Net Real Power Capability and Directory #10 - Verification of Generator Gross and Net Reactive Power Capability which are now available to receive your comments through the NPCC Process for Open Review.

This is the 2nd posting of these documents which are being revised consistent with Phase 2 of the NPCC Directory project, initiated in order to demonstrate that NPCC’s criteria are not inconsistent with any reliability standards as prescribed by the NERC Rules of Procedure.

The first posting solicited comments on the restructuring of the criteria section of each document in order to clearly delineate the more specific or more stringent NPCC criteria into NERC style requirements.

TFCO has now responded to all comments received during the first posting and further revised the documents based on those comments. These revisions include:

• Establishing TFCO as the Lead Task Force for the documents.

• Changes to certain data retention requirements within each Directory.

• Removal of Measures.

• Revisions to certain reporting requirements.

Comments will be received for forty five days through October 25, 2011.

All comments received will be addressed by the Task Force on Coordination of Operation.
