Directory #6 Reserve Sharing Groups Approved by the NPCC Full Member Committee

On April 6, 2012 the NPCC Full Member Committee approved Directory #6 Reserve Sharing Groups.

Directory #6 was developed in order to establish requirements in the form of regional criteria which will be used by NPCC Reliability Coordinators (RC’s) when participating in a Reserve Sharing Group (RSG).

The development of Directory #6 was managed by the Task Force on Coordination of Operation (TFCO) and will now require each RSG to estimate the change in reliability risk related to an individual agreement.

The Directory also sets forth specific requirements for the content of the agreements which will govern each RSG.

Directory #6 was developed in accordance with Phase 2 of the NPCC Directory project which is designed to promote the NPCC criteria in a results based format in order to demonstrate that the criteria is not inconsistent with ERO standards.
